November 26, 2023… Approach to tackling things, no matter how bad it is. “That’s what I love about you.”
What a touching message from my first son, whom I met this morning.
We talked for a long time and I was happy to walk around the city with him looking for a café that is open from 8 o’clock.
About 30 minutes after we said goodbye, he texted me, “You always have a very positive approach to doing things, no matter how bad it is.”
Wow.
I have already received such feedback from a wide variety of people, including colleagues and readers of my book. External perceptions that encourage me to continue to listen to and empower others.
Many people often ask me how I can still be so radiant and stay positive.
Since it became clear to me again today that we always leave an impact, here are 5 ways👇🏾 for you to cultivate the positive approach, no matter how bad the situation looks.
My co-author of the book “Personal Responsibility” Alexandra Lang likes to say: “We always work, so let’s make it conscious”.
Especially when you’re in a new environment and you feel like you won’t accept that all doors are closed, it’s worth focusing on the positive.
This is how you use your energy and time to shape your own path.
The 5 possible ways are:
1️⃣. What can I do about this specific situation? When you focus on something that moves you forward, something wonderful happens.
2️⃣. Pay attention to people who “only” feel sorry for you, they won’t get you anywhere.
3️⃣. Focus on what’s going well right now – friends who are there for you, bright spots that give you hope, great people in your new country of choice who open doors for you.
4️⃣. Back to your talents and strengths: Ask yourself, how can they be useful to you especially in this situation.
5️⃣. Write down the learnings from such difficult situations. Empower others as well.
Do you have any supplements?
Diversity can be exhausting, especially when you feel like you’re being treated unfairly. Therefore, consciously choose what you focus on.
Don’t let your smile be taken away from you – thank you, Siye Habteab that we reminded🙏🏽💃🏾 ourselves of this in our conversation in Cologne the other day
Here’s how to find solutions.
This will also allow you to discover “drawers” that have been open for a long time, so you can simply jump out.
